My recent stay at Zarautz Hostel was a delightful experience that perfectly complemented our Camino journey. The facilities were reminiscent of an Albergue, offering convenient amenities for cooking, drying clothes, and socializing, with the added bonus of provided bed linen. The relaxed atmosphere and proximity to the surfing beach made it a perfect choice for unwinding after a day of exploring.Despite the slight noise from the nearby gas station and construction site, the hostel itself was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The friendly owner, Claudio, was a great source of local recommendations, adding a personal touch to our stay. While Zarautz itself may not have been my favorite town, the beach was fantastic for surfing and relaxing, making the hostel an ideal base for enjoying the waves.The convenience of the location, easy access to San Sebastian, and the helpfulness of the staff further enhanced our stay. The functional kitchen, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and clean bathrooms made our time there truly enjoyable. The terrace, though lacking in views, provided a lovely spot for breakfast or a drink, allowing us to soak in the atmosphere.I would highly recommend Zarautz Hostel to anyone seeking a welcoming environment, whether pilgrims or holidaymakers. The mix of guests added to the vibrant atmosphere, and the attentive staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The charming landlord's knowledge of the area was invaluable, and the overall value for money was outstanding. It's definitely a place I would love to return to, especially if you appreciate a laid-back and friendly vibe.
